Chester City Youth made the short journey up the Wirral to face Birkenhead based Tranmere Rovers this morning in a Puma Youth Alliance match.
Despite plenty of pressure from Hackett's lads - especially in the second half, it ended without goals for either team.
The Youth Team are next in action in the FA Youth Cup when they travel to York City on the 22 November.
