City will host York City U18's in the third round proper of the FA Youth Cup sponsored by Eon, after a very close game against Curzon Ashton tonight.

With the scores deadlocked after 90 minutes, a thunderous shot from a free kick on 97 minutes by Curzon's Richard Tait put the non-leaguers in front.

However, six minutes later Andy Mitchell scored a solo effort after taking on the home defence before slipping the ball past keeper Luke Barrett.

Home keeper Barrett gave his side the advantage when he got down quickly to save the second penalty against him, only for the host's next spot kick to be put wide, before sudden death saw Simon Davies's side go through as another Curzon Ashton spot kick went wide.

The game against The Minstermen youngsters must take place before the 15 December 2007.
