FT: Macclesfield Town U18's 1 Chester City U18's 2

Chester City's youth team had a far better day than their senior counterparts today when they travelled cross county to Macclesfield Town for a Puma Youth Alliance fixture fresh from their midweek FA Youth Cup victory at Marine.

Macclesfield took the lead, arguably against the run play but City's young guns fought back and Simon Davies was pleased to see goals from Lloyd Ellams and Stephen Thorpe. Thorpe in partcular had a good game creating a number of chances before taking his chance and sealing it for the Blues.

Sadly, Caernarfon born James Owen was conveyed to hospital as a precautionary measure after a clash of heads caused him some concussion.
