1993 - 1994Chester City regained Second Division status at the first attempt under Graham Barrow in 1993/94. New signings included Cohn Greenall, lain Jenkins, Mark Leonard and Joe Jakub who returned from Burnley. David Felgate replaced the injured Billy Stewart in goal as we embarked on a thrilling run that saw them lose just three times in 31 games. We went top of the table after a 2-1 win over Walsall in mid March and beat rivals Preston 3-2 at The Deva Stadium. Shrewsbury Town took advantage of their games in hand to displace us as leaders but promotion was clinched with a 3-1 victory at home to Hereford United. Match Quick Links
