Winning start for City YouthArticle Date: 18 Aug 2007 Chester City's youth side made the short trip away to Stockport County and returned with all the points from the first game of the season in the Puma Youth Alliance. With the wind causing problems in the first half, City found it rather difficult to adapt and against the run of play took the lead with a tap in from Andy Mitchell after some great work from the tireless Paul McManus. Stockport equalised before the break after the City defence could not defend a knock down in the box which left City keeper Matt Woods with no chance. With some words from Youth boss Simon Davies at half time City looked a different proposition after the break and soon had the game under control. Giovanni Fellichiello scored with a well placed header from an Andy Mitchell corner to place City in the lead. Lloyd Ellams was also caused problems for the home defence and with the young Blues never looking like loosing the game, it was Ellams himself who wrapped up the game with a superb 20 yard shot into the top right hand corner.
