Chester City have drawn Nottingham Forest in the first round of the Carling Cup after the draw was held this morning.

The game will be played week commencing the 13th August 2007at home.

The last time City faced Forest was in the second round of the FA Cup in 2005, City romped home to a 3-0 victory on the day.

Williamson said of the draw: "It will be a very difficult home tie against a club that play one division above us, I'm ever the optimist, but I know full well that Nottingham Forest will be still smarting from missing out on promotion".

He coninued ""There's always hope in games like this and sometimes they throw up a few surprises – hopefully that will be the case when we play Forest."

"But there is a lot of hard work to do before we face Nottingham Forest – I'm currently focusing on our first game which is our priority at the moment". said the gaffer.
